The lady at the front desk I believe her name is Vanessa, but I am unsure. She is racist & I would never want to be somewhere with such blatant racism & ignorance. She believes young black females can’t afford insurance & that any black person who walks through the doors must be living off of the government & has to have medi-cal because they can’t afford insurance on their own. She claims that these are facts, if that were true then, I would in fact have medi-cal, which I do not, I do not qualify for medi-cal, nor have I in my entire life received any type of government assistance. She admitted to profiling me, throwing me into a bucket, to fit a stereotype, you need to further your education so that you do not fall victim to your ignorance. Because yes, black people can afford insurance, & you need to expand your mind to greater thinking. In the future you may want to be more careful with your diction & ask your clients what insurance they have, if any, instead of assuming they fit into the picture society has painted for you.

We were referred by Magellan EAP. Our booked appts were moved around and even cancelled without notifying us. I thought it was the actual therapist so I switched to another one in the same office. I got a call today from the new one stating we were overbooked and were cancelled 3 hrs before the appt. Sounds like a systemic office issue, not a provider issue. I will be looking for another office for my therapy needs.
