Worked with VS and Matt for three months. As a Jiu Jitsu competitior and athlete had a blast with them. Matt specifies his program for every individual. Whether your a serious athlete, pro or notmal person. Matt has a history of working with some of the biggest BJJ owners/competitors in the area. He also has a bunch of friendly clients and people who made the gym feel very welcoming and enjoyable to be at.

I would highly recommend you to try out VS if you want high level training in the area. Matt really helped me improve my strength, power and technique. It was a blast to be training with VS!

Matt was very thorough and knowledgeable during the onboarding process. I had the pleasure of having Brendan as my coach and he’s amazing! He’s patient, concise, and does a wonderful job at providing helpful feedback. Brendan ensured that I was comfortable while also making sure I was challenging myself. Before I joined Victory Submission Strength, I had weak and painful joints, low cardiovascular fitness, and limited knowledge of strength and conditioning.

Just four weeks later, my health and wellness has done a 180! The VSS team did a thorough baseline fitness assessment, customized a training program for me, and guided me through every exercise including breathwork, static warmups, dynamic warmups, power exercises, and strength exercises.

Kudos to Coach Matt and Coach Brendan for customizing a program to help me gain fitness foundation for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Most importantly, the team, culture, and facilities of VSS are incredible! It's not just a gym, it's a community!

Victory Submission Strength is awesome, I’ve been coming in to help recover from an injury and generally improve my fitness overall. The team is amazing and they pull you into the family immediately. Nothing intimidating or overwhelming, just great positive vibes that are supportive and encouraging. They really focus on body mechanics and building strength and mobility the right way with safety and longevity in mind. With my hip injury they are careful and constantly asking for input on how it feels and adjusting the workout when necessary to help my issue. If you want to get in shape, recover from an injury, work on injury prevention, progress in your sport, and learn about your body, this is the place!

I met Matt at a seminar he conducted at our Jiu Jitsu school while I was recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus. I was actively seeking a program to help rebuild my strength and mobility, tailored to my body type and activities. Matt explained the program, and I knew instantly that I had to give it a try. After just four sessions, I'm already noticing a return in my strength and confidence. The injury had disrupted my exercise routine, but the accountability provided by the program is exactly what I needed. Now, I do all my strength and conditioning at VSS, alongside my Jiu Jitsu training, and I’m finding it to be the perfect balance for my workout and Jiu Jitsu needs.

One of my biggest problems with training currently is being on night shift and not having enough time to train 5-6 days a week. At first, I thought 2-4 days a week would not be enough, but it has been a game changer for me. I'm enjoying my time in the gym now more than ever and still have plenty of time to go to jiu jitsu and get my rounds in without feeling worn out. I've also dropped some weight as well.

If you feel warn down hitting the gym and jiu jitsu, I highly recommend VSS programming. I'm currently using fight camp and feel great. One of the better programs I have used in awhile.
