I was part of the second class of students at the United Aviate Academy and first graduating class. I went from zero hours to a multi-engine instructor in just over a year! From state of the art aircraft and training programs to top tier instructors, I was more than prepared to transition to instructing and ultimately to a United Express Carrier. The academy equipped me with every tool I needed to be successful not only throughout my training but well beyond. As both a student and instructor I felt the support of my colleagues, management, maintenance, scheduling, dispatch and United Airlines as a whole. I am forever grateful for the support and network of mentors and lifelong friends that the Academy brought me. I am proud to be a part of the United Aviate Academy family.

I had the best 14 months at the United Aviate Academy (May 2022 - March 2023) a flight instructor could ask for. There are so many good things I have to say about my experience here. The students were so dedicated, prepared and came ready to learn for each flight or ground lesson. The large fleet of Cirrus aircraft were always well maintained by an amazing in-house maintenance team. Working with a friendly staff around the whole campus made showing up to work exiting.. I wish this place was around before I started my journey as a pilot. In my opinion It’s the best flight school to get you from a new pilot to the seat of a jet. I miss this place and I would leave 10 stars if I could.

I highly recommend United Aviate for their Aviate’s program. This school is a great option for those who have an end goal of flying for United Airlines, with the direct flow through and the many opportunities to network with United aviators throughout your training. I recently visited the school and was impressed to see the abundance of Cirrus aircraft, and instructors. If you’re ready to learn as a student, there is someone ready to instruct you at Aviates. If you’re a CFI, the time building is currently a little slow right now. However, if you have patience - the end result is worth it!

United Aviate Academy provided me with the tools and preparation needed to succeed in the 121 world. The structure, discipline, and CRM taught is rare for flight schools. There are unlimited tools here that students and instructors are able to utilize grow as a person and develop the “whole pilot”.

All I can say is kudos to United Airlines for creating a great flight academy! I recently got a chance to visit the Aviate Academy and as a United pilot for 18 years was highly impressed. Their knowledge, checklist usage, and professionalism was exceptional. United Aviate Academy is creating pilots that will be great assets to our United family.

I recently had the chance to speak at United Aviate Academy and was impressed by the professionalism of the instructors and students. We had the opportunity to go on a discovery flight with one of their instructors, and the aircraft was top-notch. The team took excellent care of us, making the entire visit memorable. My experience as an instructor at UAA was good overall. I started when the academy was new (less than 6mo) and just like any new place there were learnings curves.
I recently visited and i was pleasantly amazed to see more airplanes staff and students around. The place has definitely grown and it is great to see that the first batch of students are now airline pilots. The process is working, very fast pace so not suited for all however the success rate speaks for itself. It was good to be back on the ground!!
