We have been using Tim Cates for a long time for our business and personal taxes. This year after sending multiple emails and not getting a response we sent one final email about not getting a response, That is when they finally responded and told us we were Having attitude because of the email that we sent asking them if they were receiving any of our emails. How were we to know that they were receiving our emails if they were not responding? After they sent us an email telling us that we were having attitude and they would not be working on our taxes as long as we were having attitude with them. We followed up with another email, ensuring them that we were not having attitude that we were just simply asking if they were receiving our emails because we have no way to know If they are not responding to the emails. They then proceeded to tell us that they will not be doing business with us Anymore. Tim Cates and his assistant are very weird people. This was totally unprofessional. We have looked The other way on their unprofessionalism In the past But this is just crazy. When a client or customer emails you asking if you are receiving their emails, This is not a professional way to respond. I would advise anybody I know, and whoever is reading this to not use this business.

The worst customer service. Do not waste your time. Many other CPA's to choose from that will not ignore your emails and know how to communicate professionally. Take a look at his past reviews on yelp. Not one good review....

I’ve been going to Tim Cates for my taxes over 25 years. He’s very professional and takes less than a half hour to do my taxes. It’s so worth the peace of mind of not having to do my own taxes and potentially miss a new law or make a mistake.
