Owner of "Thatz MyDawg," Jerald Demery (known to most as “JD”) is like no other. Having personally worked with him for over ten years it’s a known fact that his focus goes way beyond “training” your dog, rather he’s working on behavior and expectations not just for the dog, but for the owner as well. He maintains a calm, confident demeanor that if emulated consistently will get the results owners want to see in their furry friends. "It’s all about being the alpha in the pack” and making your dog THINK! THINK A LOT! “An exhausted dog is a happy dog,” JD will tell you. And what he does isn’t hard, it just takes commitment and follow thru. Your dog WANTS IT. Your dog will THRIVE FROM IT. And you’ll both be all the happier and content for it too! I can’t recommended his exemplary training services enough. JD’s prices are reasonable as well and you definitely get WAY more than you pay for.

JD has been an incredible trainer for our 1.5yr old dog, but more importantly us! He has taught us a new approach to training that has been successful with walking, interacting with other dogs and people, and learning how to emotionally tire our dog out. He is incredibly flexible in working with us to best fit the needs of us and our dog. I absolutely recommend JD to anyone I know who is interested in some training or day care! He is very personable and always shows up with a great attitude. We love working with JD and are very thankful we were recommended to him!

JD helped me with my pomsky. With all this rain, I could barely walk her outdoors and she was getting antsy inside the house. She resisted walking on the treadmill and scratched at it with her claws like a cat. After my first session with JD he showed me the way to get her on the treadmill with positivity. She now enjoys it and gets her energy out, no more eating my pillows haha

JD is amazing! His ability to relate to your dog is impressive. More importantly, he works with you to understand your dog’s behaviors and actions. My husband was a scout dog handler (walking the point) in Viet Nam and after observing JD work with our two dogs stated he had never seen a better trainer. I highly recommend his services.

JD is awesome! He is truly a dog whisperer!
I have two little dogs. One of them would go completely nuts at the dog park. She would go after the other dogs and bark etc.. I brought JD with me and she behaved like an angel! She even almost played with another dog!! This really made me realize that a lot of issues were with me. Which is what he was trying to tell me. I highly recommend him!

If there were an option for more than 5 stars, it would be clicked! To start, I decided to rescue an adorable 2-month-old Husky, German Shep., Rottweiler boy who stole my heart. I had no idea what I was getting myself into with his mix of breed! But JD from the beginning was not only VERY patient but walked me through the basics of being a puppy momma. I take King to doggy daycare M- Thurs while I am at work durring the day and let me tell you how much it helps, it is life changing!! King is now 9 months old and a big 70lbs of happy go lucky pup with his one blue eye:) He is completely crate trained I mean COMPLETLY. Also, does great on leash as well as has his simple manors any young dog should learn. JD has taught me to have King work around MY schedule not vice versa and man does it work. King does excellent in the crate with no accidents, he is potty trained and knows plenty of tricks.
My biggest thing is that JD has such a huge heart for every single dog that is brought to him. I mean King is my child so feeling comfortable with him being in someone else's care all day is HUGE. I love that not only is King learning daily obedience but also gets to play with the other dogs, which helps me out because he gets so tired!
I cannot recommend JD enough to anyone who is having troubles with their dog! He is also very accommodating when it comes to drop off and pick up with my busy schedule and truly is appreciated!
