I had an amazing experience. I’m glad there was a no-phone policy because it allowed us to fully enjoy the moment. The photographer took great photos and didn’t rush us when we were choosing which ones to save on a flash drive. The $75 photo package was definitely worth it.

I had an unforgettable horse riding experience on the beach! Willa was an exceptional instructor, providing clear guidance, making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. The tour guides were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond by taking our phones to snap some amazing photos of me. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun and memorable adventure!

Most of the ride parallels the bike path but then goes through trees and through a river. The water was pretty high at the end of May, almost to my feet so shoes and pants were pretty wet but was still the highlight of the trip. The beach was pretty and getting up and down the bluffs to the sand was exciting. The best part was that because there were only 2 couples in our group the guides were able to hold our phones and take pictures of us the whole time. I was expecting to pay $40+ for the photos so this was a nice surprise.
I wish there was an opportunity to stop on the beach and get off for a few minutes. Do not expect to go riding off into the sunset or go at your own pace, even if you’re an experienced rider. The ride is a slow walk, single file and the horses follow the leader exactly. All you need to do is sit. Also, it would’ve been nice to be introduced to the animals and gotten some time with the guides. Literally the only thing they said was how to get on the horse and hold the reins, don’t do anything else. Knowing the horses name or getting any other information about the area where we were riding would’ve been nice.
If you go in knowing these things you won’t be disappointed. We did have a great time.

Never coming back here. The star is only for the horse because she was awesome and very passionate. I booked an hour ride with my boyfriend since he'd never been horseback riding. I've gone elsewhere several times and DO NOT recommend going here (especially if you're a beginner). I understood the rule of not bringing purses/bags etc on the ride, but the fact that we weren't allowed to bring our phones was strange since other places allowed that.

The wrangler "supposedly" helping me get ready to ride was super rude and yelled at me for not holding the ropes right. Again, I have a bit of experience; but this guy was an effin jerk. When I tried asking how I should hold it, he scoffed at me and ignored me. The horse I had was ready to go on the trail (more like run away from him) and wanted to go right away. The jerk was snapping at me even though the horse was impatient and I didn't have control over it.

The wrangler guiding the tour was rude, disrespectful, and physically abusive. There were two riders who didn't speak fluent English and he kept yelling at one of them AND grabbed the rope on her horse out of her hands since she wasn't understanding his instructions. I can understand the frustration, but YOU DO NOT treat paying customers like that!!! This guy is not guide/leader material and needs to do something else (like a new job).
There was supposed to be a photographer but they didn't show up (which was whatever). The other guide was taking pictures on her phone and said she would send them to the numbers we provided (big surprise! Never got them).

While we were riding to and back from the trail, I noticed a lot of old/worn out trailers around the stable/ranch/house and not to sound judgmental, but that seemed odd. And it made me think "is that why you didn't want us to bring our phones? Not to just get "more money" since you scam people with the 'professional pictures' but to not take pics on our own of the random trailers, uncared for horses, and anything else that could shut down your business?" That's super suspicious.

This place is going to keep going downhill if they don't hire better wranglers/trainers, stop scamming customers, take better care of the horses, take better care of the property, learn customer service, and get rid of the current wranglers who hate their jobs. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Loved the experience, Samuel our guide was wonderful and we were given
clear and thorough instructions with the horses. Only sour moment was that we were 10 minutes late for their 30 minutes early check-in owing to traffic. Hope they were more understanding instead of treating us very rudely, needed to shake it off to stop it from ruining what turned out to be a wonderful ride.

Fun excursion in Half Moon Bay.

A friend and I booked a 90-minute package that included riding on the beach. Luckily it was just us 2 and no other customers, which definitely made the experience better.

The scenery of the ride is OK. The most exciting parts are going through the river & the beach.

Customers are not allowed to bring anything (not even phones) on the rides, which is an understandable rule. The tour guide will take 1 phone to take the photos for you. Which was nice, but most of the photos don't turn out that well.

Our guide did not speak much English, which did lead to some communication issues. It would have been a better experience to have had an English speaker guiding us.

Keep in mind, your back and your legs will most likely be in pain the following day (which is normal after horse riding). Keep in mind I had the correct posture the whole time. I went to the jacuzzi the next day and my muscles felt better.

Overall, I did have a good time just being on a horse and riding on the beach on a beautiful day.

Went for my bday and it was so much fun. I have been wanting to do it and loved it. They have clear instructions how to ride the horse if you’re a beginner and there is also a few guides while riding which felt reassuring since it was my first time. It was beautiful views and it was so calm. Will be doing it again!!!
