I've long been resigned to progress with my golf swing being incremental at best. "There is no magic bullet," everyone says. That squared with my experience, until I met Roger. In one 90-minute session, he unlocked movement/range of motion/strength attributes I hadn't been able to access. And suddenly I'm hitting the golf ball further, straighter and on a better trajectory with more consistency. If you like that sort of thing, you should run to see Roger. He's that good.

How he gets you there is a bit unconventional. But there's no arguing with the results, which are the opposite of incremental. They're transformational. He's also a very nice guy who is excellent at explaining concepts and the "why" behind what he's doing.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Roger is a 20.

Roger gave me my life back. He is the kindest, most intelligent, most helpful person you could ever hope to know. Calling Roger a physical therapist or a trainer really doesn’t begin to describe what he offers. Roger treats the whole person, taking into account your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

After four unsuccessful surgeries to treat a sciatic impingement I was left in constant pain, unable to take care of even my daily needs. Not only was I in terrible pain, I was scared, as anything I tried to do, only seemed to make it worse...as trips to more than a few other therapists had taught me. With more than a bit of trepidation, I went to see Roger and was met with kindness, gentleness, and patience. He really listened to me, and put exceptional thought into crafting a treatment plan for my recovery. After our first visit, that fear began to dissipate, and after a few sessions, I felt I could trust him implicitly.

Having literally been on my back for years, we had a lot of work to do, but I remember that I started to make progress quickly. First, there was the celebration of being able to bend over to put on my own shoes, next I was able to sit in a chair for more than ten minutes at a time, and after two years, I was traveling the world. I have been a client of Roger’s for over a decade now. In the early days, I had to see him to try to get back to basic function, now I continue to see him because I know that the work we do together, keeps me healthy and strong. And with his sweet gentle way, he is always pushing me to be able to do more and feel better. He teaches me how to modify my movements so that, despite the structural limitations of my body, I am able to do the things I need and want to do. As my life changes, Roger is there to support me, whether it is the new challenge of driving a manual shift automobile in France or running after a small child, he always finds a way to empower me to accomplish my goals and to feel good doing it.

Personally focused attention that is beyond first rate. I've worked with Roger for 13 years. Each year has only gotten better since Roger loves to learn and applies this learning to my training: new approaches new ideas, fresh learning, which improve the overall quality a great deal. Roger is constantly adjusting the balance between the physical and the mental: strength, coordination, balance, hand/eye, response time, breath work. Roger is very focused on making sure that I'm using the proper form. His attention is completely centered on the client. Roger would never think of using his cellphone or of speaking with anyone else while working with a client. On a 1 to 10 basis, Roger is a 12. I would strongly recommend him to anyone at any level of fitness since he will create a personally tailored program and work with you to improve.

My initial consulting with Roger for follow-up on back therapy, post back surgery and on the referral of my surgeon, was very impressive. Not only was his evaluation very thorough but it also revealed other underlying causes that made me aware of my total health picture. This knowledge surprised me because he had literally connected the dots and it made perfect sense.
The plan of treatment was to begin slow with core exercises with a gradual buildup to a desired level. At no point did I have to do more than is physically attainable for me, though he is always there to encourage and motivate to reach higher levels.
Kind, knowledgeable yet humble, Roger is very sensitive to his clients' needs and is dedicated to making healthy and functional in their daily lives. I recommend him very highly.

I met Roger over 20 years ago at Cedars Sinai Physical Therapy. As a dancer, Certified Pilates and Iyengar Yoga Teacher I have had many experiences with other Physical Therapists over the years. Roger is by far the absolute BEST PT I have ever received treatment from. He is completely dedicated to his craft and is constantly studying and working to refine and hone his unbelievable skill set. Roger is a true gem and I am lucky to have met him and benefit from his knowledge and expertise.

kind, and a consummate professional. He is a true healer who has helped me recover from several serious injuries. It is not an exaggeration to say that Roger has saved my life. Roger has pursued his continuing education like no other clinician I have met. His understanding of functional neurology and application of therapy techniques is phenomenal. I give Roger the highest possible recommendation. Thank you, Roger!

Roger saved my brain after I was hit by a speeding SUV and suffered trauma, and brain and neck injuries. His insight is incredible - he was able to determine what was going on with my concussion and then work out a treatment that gave me back clarity, balance, memory sharpness and freedom from pain. If I could see Roger every day, I would. He has been working with my 79-yo father after a stroke, too who is in his 70s and helped him regain sight and motor skills. I am so profoundly grateful that I found my way to him and I would give him the highest recommendation there is.
