This is one of the most wonderful places on the Peninsula. I wish I knew about them ten years ago. The structure is fantastic have a look at the photos. The personnel is the most gracious, they explained me everything about their activities. The teachers are perfect: they give space to kids to try out stuff on their own and understand their limits, but are ALWAYS there to help them. They actually listen to the kids instead of telling them what to do. This obviously doesn't work for helicopter parents which do not appreciate this style but I find it great. If I had to nitpick and find a negative is that, as not all kids follow basic hygiene, the air tends to smell a little. Air up the place guys! All in all, fantastic, please never change. Plenty of parking space outside.

If you want an instructor like Matthew, who is short tempered, will grab your kids by their arms without verbal warning or instruction and to be condescending. Go ahead and sign up here. You have been warned.

To owners response I can also post video footage of physical grabbing of your manager. BBB will be contacted and no my child did not spit or push. I really have every legal right to pursue and prosecute this manner since you want to fester the situation. Also all to negative reviews seem to fit the description of your abusive instructors including a child who broke an arm. If you were a business of worthy you would be working on improving customer satisfaction. I’ll allow you to review the abuse for your reference.

Also your response shows what scum of a business owner you are by your exaggerated lies. Your hostility, alone, shows other customers why their children shouldn’t be trusted by your “rude” staff. Re read your past reviews. Proof is in the pudding. No attorney will take to case.

If you had any business sense, you would be working this out with me to make this better, you’re a business in disaster buddy.

This is a great place to do gymnastics, and my kid loves it. BUT THEY DON'T HAVE AC. And it gets extremely hot there in summer. We really want to continue the practice but it's impossible during the heat. Hope to get the owner's attention.

I enrolled my child in summer camp at Peninsula Gymnastics through Burlingame Parks and Rec. I picked him up one day with a broken arm. No one in the gym noticed. He was crying and couldn’t hold a tight fist. He was in a cast the rest of the summer. The staff is undertrained, the kids are not supervised, and worst of all they didn’t care that my child got hurt. When I complained, the owner told me they reviewed the tape and my child hurt himself. The doctor said it was not possible for the break to have occurred this way and my own child said another child jumped on him. There was never an apology from the gym or even further response after I explained what really happened. The gym is also dirty and over crowded. Please don’t send your child there.

My kids went to one of their camps and overall they were pretty happy with it.

I don't know why so many posts are worried about Parking. At worst you walk a few feet and there was plenty of street parking.

My only concern was how they handled allergy medication. At drop-off I let them know that my son had his EpiPen and some benadryl in his bag in case of emergencies. I assumed a responsible adult would hold onto it in case it was needed but they just left it in his bag in the cubby. This seems highly irresponsible to me. He's 6 and wouldn't know how to use the medicine if he had an emergency. If you are going to have a full day camp you need a better policy and training for staff on handling medical issues. On average at least one kid per class will have an EpiPen. Please train your staff on them.
I debated leaving him when I observed that was how they handled, or rather didn't handle a child having an EpiPen.

We have 2 girls who have been here about a year and a half. We have needed to switch days a few times and the staff has always been very accommodating. Saturday’s tend to be crazy but we are very happy with our Friday schedule. Parking is horrible but over all we are very happy with our experience. I would certainly recommend Peninsula Gymnastics.
