Shannen and the team at Painted Star are amazing. My daughter started riding about a year and a half ago and has fell in love with riding and horses. She loves the lessons and the other fun events that Painted Star offers.

Painted Star Equestrian is one of the best organizations I have ever encountered when it comes to training, developing skills, talent cultivation, and empathy. My daughter always looks forward to her lessons, for these weekly meetings are so much more than just riding horses — it’s about building an awareness of self and embracing the beautiful animacy of such incredible animals. I am grateful for the confidence and poise that all of the trainers have instilled in my daughter; it has helped her mature in ways that even she can recognize. Ultimately, Painted Star Equestrian is a new home for our family and we are forever inspired by Shannen and her team of fearless leaders. PSE is simply amazing and we couldn’t be happier!

My girl introduced me to Shannen and her horses. I’m a novice rider and Shannen made sure we didn’t do anything that was over my comfort level. Enjoyed the experience a lot and hopefully one day, we can take our child to experience the same.

I had a great experience riding the horses with Shannen. This is my first time ever riding a horse and my cousin convinced me to come with her to try it out. It was not as scary as I thought it would be, Shannen was very patient and made sure the horses pace never went past my comfort zone. She also made sure to walk next to me until I felt comfortable to ride the horse "alone". At the end, she even allowed me to help bathe them which I found very fun. Thanks for the experience Shannen!

First time learning how to ride a horse with Shannen and she was the best! She was extremely patient with me and didn't mind answering the hundreds of questions I had. For those of you hesitant to try something new, don't be! I had the greatest time riding even though I started off with zero experience.
