The quality and thoughtful way that therapy is provided is exceptional and person centered. The use of the Murray Method allows for healing in a holistic and Christ supportive way. Finding your true self, while starting where you are, and healing holistically is a pleasurable journey even in the midst of an overwhelming history, due to the exceptional counselors from New Life Counseling. I have only good things to say, because no low, loss, pain, shame or fear, has to keep you stuck. There is hope and help, with a variety of counselors and staff available for your various needs.

I've been seeing Otis at New Life Counseling for over 2 years now. He is truly amazing and honestly the best counselor I've ever had (I have tried quite a lot). He is the best listener. He gives practical advise that is always loving and respectful. They are donation-based, meaning you can donate what you are able to afford. This helps support the staff and also allows them to help others that may not be able to afford the counseling. Thanks for always being there for me, Otis and New Life Counseling!

I started at NLC about three and a half years ago after my grandmother died. I felt stuck at the time. I have been seeing Melissa. She has been great in helping me see things I have struggled to see myself. She is compassionate and caring. She has seen me through many challenges. She was a blessing as I got engaged and married and have walked through my first year of marriage.
My husband and I also saw Larry for premarital counseling. He was honest about marriage with us, and the struggles we might see. He also encouraged us with what a great blessing marriage is. His encouragement and speaking the truth to us has been a gift during the first year of marriage. I expect that his wisdom will continue to feed our marriage as it ages.
I would recommend New Life to anyone. It truly is a God send.

I was referred by The Ventura County Rescue Mission. I love my Therapist. This place is located in a quiet neighborhood in Oxnard. There is parking. The people inside the office are all very nice. They make you feel comfortable and you can talk about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ if you want too. Having a therapist when newly becoming a Believer is awesome!!!!

Larry has been nothing short of amazing in walking me through my journey of the past couple of years. Divorce, Covid, and a myriad of other issues that have come up, i could not think of having a better and/or wiser advocate in keeping my faith and taking care of myself. It has truly been the best therapy i have ever had the privilege of receiving.

The counselors at this place are misleading, at least Melissa is and she represents this establishment. My friend took her 5yo daughter here for a court ordered counseling which has to be conducted by a licensed counselor. When asked if she was licensed, Melissa said yes. It was recently discovered that she infact is not a licensed counselor! During every visit she requested a mandatory" $25 "donation"! I guess it should have been obvious she wasn't licensed cause she was unprofessional from the beginning!

None of them are license and they want to charge you a fee. Be aware of Melissa due that she will put a larger fee and asking for cash only. She will claimed to be a “ family counselor” when she is not. BE AWARE of her due that she will due anything for money.
