We purchased a budget-friendly, 30-class package for our puppy who has become a wonderful family member with Living With Dogs training. The online scheduling is convenient and the array of classes is impressive. We appreciate their positive reinforcement methods that do not employ harsh tools such as pronged or choke collars. We are pleased to be able to take our dog everywhere dogs are welcome, including restaurants, wineries, busy sidewalks, etc. knowing that she will behave as expected. Sandi and her staff are making Santa Cruz county a better place with well-mannered dogs and happy dog owners!

Great group, especially if you want a skills-based approach. They offer talented, knowledgeable and and compassionate trainers, a variety of classes and a positive, research-based approach that is a welcome change from many of the other force-based training approaches. The trainers are really in tune with the dogs and I've learned tons about canine behavior; they are patiently helping me to connect more effectively with my dog. We've been through puppy class, much of family dog 1 and now just experimenting with family dog 2. I like that they have the year-long package, which works out to be quite economical and helps to encourage ongoing training. The diversity of what they offer is amazing.

Sandi Pensinger has been invaluable in helping us rehabilitate our retired seeing eye dog, who had serious reactivity to other dogs. Her manner is calm and quiet, and her techniques are based in legitimate animal behavioral science, not television personality cult. The best thing is how much we ourselves have learned, so that every day is a fun/play/class for our dog. We have become more confident in handling situations that challenge our dog, and therefore both we and our dog are more relaxed.
