I have known Lanny and Kathy for over 10 years now and Lanny has trained several of my horses. Lanny helped me with my first gypsy vanner colt and my gypsy mare. They were beautifully broke and had a soft neck rein by the time I sold them. I had taken them to several of Lanny's obstacle clinics and my 5 yo gypsy took great care of the 75yo woman who bought him. Now I have a reining cow horse that Lanny and his son Logan trained and I am learning flying lead changes and spins and sliding stops. He is so gentle Lanny's grandson learned to ride on him. Lanny took my 2yo gypsy colt for a month and taught him to drive. The colt loves to go on drives and I get to practice with Julie Mitchell in her beautiful driving arena. Julie is a driving trainer and my neighbor in Tucson. Hoping to start my colt riding at 3yo with Lanny's guidance. He has been starting colts his whole life, and it is something I have never done. Lanny and his wife Kathy are the real deal western family, salt of the earth people. Can't recommend them enough!

I started my journey with Lanny Leach by attending a ranch riding clinic. I learned so much, and had so much fun. Lanny is so knowledgeable, that he can tell me to move my hand just another inch to get a better result. the encouragement and warmth that i received was so welcoming- every success was celebrated. The Leaches are the most caring people that want you to succeed in your horsemanship journey. Even though everyone there was competing for the buckle, it felt more like family and friends. i have never been to any type of competition where your competitors truly wanted you to succeed and do well. I thought i got a lot of information during the clinic. well i did, but i returned for a private lesson and was amazed at how much more you receive in a private lesson. i cant wait to try one of his obstacle clinics. I highly recommend Lanny Leach Horsemanship if you or your horse is struggling on something, or if you just want to start advancing your horsemanship.

My husband and I were loyal to Lanny and Kathy for a couple of years. Used as a trainer and also did many, many clinics and *thought* we had established a friendship with them and trusted them. Enough time to discover they're only in it for the money as much as they constantly "virtue signal" what wonderful Christians they are by starting clinics with prayer, etc. It's safe to say they don't practice what they preach.

We witnessed how heavy-handed a horse trainer Lanny can be when he beat our mustang with an English crop in the face to show off for another trainer because he couldn't get him to do something. Should have been a big red flag when that happened but we gave Lanny another chance and told him we never wanted to see him do that again with our mustang.

They do not respect informed consent and in competitions at clinics tell you one thing regarding rules and then at the last minute change the rules to change an outcome in the competitions.

They never put the rules in writing so they can manipulate the scores and play favorites with the belt buckle competition which directly affected us and they knew it. They then tried to gaslight us to change the narrative in their favor.

Would absolutely not recommend based on our experiences!
