Lake County Martial Arts is one of the only martial arts dojos in Lake County. It's been in Lake County for years. Master Fred Langston is the owner and operator and there are also several other black belts that teach the classes. Master Langston is one of the most knowledgeable martial artists in the county and he teaches the other black belt artist to be just as mindful. My son has been going there for the past five or six years and it's more of a family than it is a business. Every year they have a karate camp out for the students and their families. The black belt adults really work with the kids and are very knowledgeable and skillful in what they do. The cost is never an issue for us because we believe that what we're getting in return, peace of mind that our child can protect himself, is well worth the cost. Master Langston also is very kind-hearted and will usually accommodate kids and parents who are on a budget. There are several different tournaments throughout the year and master Langston will show up to every tournament as long as kids are going. He gives the kids great support, as do all the instructors, and has a ton of knowledge. The tournaments give the kids a great experience and teaches them control, how to handle situations in real life and get experience should they ever have to deal with a dangerous situation. Like I said, it's more of a family than it is a business and if you're interested in martial arts as an adult or a child I highly suggest Lake County Martial Arts. The focus of Lake County Martial Arts is Tang Soo Do.
