Josefa has been a compassionate listener. She is helping me to navigate a time of loss for me, with my vision loss due to Lasik, and my children (empty nest). She is taking the time with me to problem solve what solution would work best vs just using a one-size fits all approach. I am sensitive to meds and she sees that. I especially appreciated her explanation of how not taking meds regularly effects neurotransmitter effectiveness.

I didn't feel heard or understood. I felt like I had to lead the conversation & she didn't assert herself when asking questions. She struggled to follow my timeline & stated that I had "passive suicidal ideations" when I described how I wanted to run away after I had my baby, instead of asking me what the root of that was (which was directly related to my having been raised in a broken home & fearing I'd do that to my child... which 2 years later I have proved isn't my reality). She was vague in her understanding of drug interactions and then kept asking me if I had considered counseling re: my postpartum depression... which confused me because wasn't that the very reason I was on the call? Was I not referred to her to receive counsel? I ended up giving up about a half hour into the call because she kept answering my questions in circles. AND she was 5 minutes late to the call. I went out of my way to arrive early to accommodate their practice & she misused my time in return. I do not recommend seeing this doctor.

You dod much more than not exceed my expectations. You almost killed me. I was suffering through the worst 3 months of my life. I got laid off. Had to go to the hospital with a pulmonary embolism. And while I was in the hospital and my cat of 15 years got mortally sick I couldn't take care of them. It was always there for me at one time you needed me I couldn't be there.

And still you did absolutely nothing to control the anxiety. All you promised that you would find another doctor to prescribe Klonopin but you never followed through. I finally lost it because my pain and anxiety was not under control. And I nearly died. You were my Doctor and supposed to care for me regardless of rules to treat me.

A hair's breadth of dying here because you were more concerned about maintaining your record of no benzos over actually helping your patient who was treatament resistant to all alternatives.

I have a very serious anxiety condition I am not a drug addict and you did absolutely nothing to keep it under control. I should be dead because of that.

You are my doctor and you were supposed to take care of me. Do you failed miserably because you wanted to follow rules more than take care of your own patients.

Dr Licus is always on time for our video calls. I love that she still does video appointments. I do not miss going into her office! Dr Licus is very friendly and to the point.

I applaud ligfestance for allowing me to retain them as my mental health provider. I'm very comfortable and at ease when I talk to Dr Licas. And I really like the TeleHealth option. Looking for mental health professionals is a very difficult process especially for me and this option is much more acceptable or palatable than the the process of looking for a different psychiatrist.
