At first I wasn't gonna leave a review, but I feel like people need to be aware of certain incidents that has occurred at this particular location. My 2 yr old daughter attends impact family counseling Vestavia. She has supervised visitation with her father. Her father is unfortunately schizophrenic, and bipolar. He's supposed to be supervised at all times, and an officer is supposed to be with him , in the month of May he was allowed to come out to my car unsupervised ,no coach or police officer was with him. He even attempted to remove our daughter from my car. I was completely shocked. That could've costed me & my child our lives, if he decided to harm us that day. He was out there for over 5 minutes unsupervised. This organization needs to hire better staff members, who take there job more seriously,
especially when it comes down to security..and protecting families from possible harm.
I was originally told that we weren't supposed to see each other. But that day it was completely unprofessional. I felt like I needed to warn other people incase they don't fix this security situation. I hope this situation doesn't happen again, with me or anyone else.

Update:
Also parents with special needs children, be aware that this particular location, some of the staff lacks patience & empathy for children who have meltdowns. They come across as irritated or upset with the children. I feel they should take some sensitivity training related to special needs children. The white gentleman in my opinion is very empathetic, and patient. I just wish I could say the same for everyone.

Terrible company that is based on profit margins not family reunification. I have had issues with a terrible coach that was more than just unprofessional. Now it's a few days before mother's day and they contact me to tell me if I can't come for a visit on Thursday or Friday then I want be able to see my daughter this week. The average blue collar working class person cannot just take off work we a two day notice and impact family counseling should know that mother's day falls on the same day every year but yet they can't keep their commitments to DHR or to me personally. They have had weeks to let me know this but they contact me a few days before my visit. DHR do better choosing the companies you force people to use. And Impact Family Counseling don't get into a business model that you can't facilitate. Enjoy my read Mrs. Hubbard.

I have only great things to say about this office. My appointments have always started on time, and every member of the staff I've encountered has been very welcoming. The intake process must be very efficient because the counselor I was placed with was amazing and perfect for me. I would definitely recommend this counseling office to others.
