Corey has trained 2 of my dogs in the past and now is training my newest addition. Great group. Completely trust their techniques and have no reservations about training my new puppy. Experts in their field.
As a follow up note, Highlands treats their dogs like their own. I have now taken Daisy back for off leash training and another puppy I rescued and I cannot say enough good things about Wyatt and Shea who really bond with their dogs, they send weekly updates and photos as they progress. Amazing talent in training.

I first called Highland Canine Birmingham in 2022 to get help with Clara, our newly adopted shelter dog. We were having trouble with nipping and food aggression toward our other dog. Clara did the 6 week board and train and came back reformed. We went from fearing that we had made a huge mistake with her adoption to truly having the best dog that anyone could imagine. We have not needed to worry about her in any situation. Our other dog did the 3 week board and train and came back proficient in basic commands, easier to walk, and much better behaved around Clara. They had a chance to bond at training, and we haven’t had any trouble with them since. Fast forward to today: we fostered and ended up adopting another shelter dog. We wanted to give her the best chance at being successful and didn’t think twice about sending her to Highland Canine. She just came home with us today, and Corey Archer and Wyatt did not disappoint. Once again, the training was on point, and all of our dogs are doing great. Don’t get me wrong. It is work to have well behaved dogs, but Highland Canine lays the groundwork and trains you, as the owner, to know what to do. I can’t say enough good things about Corey Archer and his crew.

I highly Highland Canine Training. We’ve used them twice now—about a decade apart—and both times the results have been fantastic. Shae was our trainer and she did so well with Bingo. You never know how nice it is to have a dog that really listens until you actually have one. 5 stars!

Shae and the entire Highland team are exceptional. My GSD Draco did the 3 week board and train and I am so proud of his progress. We have been doing daily walks at the local parks and going out in public. I am so proud of his new temperament and obedience. If you are looking for a quality trainer. Look no further!

We had a great experience with Highland Canine Training! My 10 mth old pup is super sweet but was easily distracted and an “over-greeter”. Although she focused primarily with on-leash training, she is much more attentive overall. She is following commands well, we are enjoying our walks much more, and she comes when I call to her off leash. They took such good care of her! She ate well and was given lots of love!

We cannot say enough about Highland Canine Training!
Cory and his staff are truly the “dream team”!
They worked with our 18 month old British Lab, Isaac, who was aggressive, stubborn and dominating….. the results were amazing! Cory and the staff are so knowledgeable, patient, and kind, it’s like they get inside the little fur babies minds. We were so pleased with how Isaac responded, and when we brought him home after training , we couldn’t believe our eyes……. A totally different dog! We would highly recommend Highland Canine Training to anyone, AWESOME TRAINING and AWESOME FOLKS!!!

Corey and Wyatt were great throughout the entire process. Both of our dogs went for the board and training option. One of our dogs stayed for 3 weeks - we were so impressed with her behavior and how quick she is to follow commands now. The other dog stayed for 6 weeks and her off leash recall is great - we feel so much safer giving her the freedom to be a dog and explore, knowing that she’ll come when called. We were nervous to drop them off and leave them for such a long time (our dogs are our family), but were instantly comforted when we saw how much their team loved our dogs - when we dropped them off, they were sitting on the ground loving on our girls as we signed the paperwork. We got regular updates on their training and Corey and Wyatt were so accommodating and flexible with us. We were also so touched that both dogs had been bathed and had their nails clipped when we picked them up. Would absolutely recommend using them!

One of the best dog training services! Our trainer was Wyatt and he was phenomenal with our pup. With 3 kids preschool age and under, having a pup was going to prove to be a challenge if we didn’t train her. We opted for the in-house 6 week advanced training program and it was worth every cent.
