My husband used to be there last week. This place told him to find another place will be open in 4 days. They 're dropped him of at the hospital for detox. Hospital kicked him out. He was out with no money and nothing. Now he went missing again. And he said this place not let everyone go to the front yard. They 're also not allow men to shave . Because be afraid of suicide. He felt itching with the long beard. And also not hygiene for men at all. Now I couldn't find my husband anywhere. I 'm sorry to complain. I'm in the other side of the world that he leave. I hope him safe and in the good place now. Not heard from him since last Wednesday.

This place has no compassion, no de-escalation training in their staff, they lie to patient families and claim they called them when they didn’t, they will waste your time on purpose with a smile and then ask why you didn’t sit around and wait for them. This place will let a woman who has FINALLY said she wants to get better, walk out in the middle of night with no phone or money - not even giving her the bare minimum kindness a bartender gives a drunk patron by purchasing them an Uber or even simply allowing them the option to phone a friend to pick them up. This place talks to patient families as if they’re stupid and not verging on tears because they placed my sister who wants to get better in a very dangerous situation. This place takes no responsibility. They handed me wads of trash & my sisters sanitary items, and said they were my sister’s belongings. My sister said she had food items in this place that she had written her name on and we all know how expensive food is, it wasn’t given back to us and neither were her medications. Essentially, they stole from my sister and you cannot say that I am even exaggerating given I was told we could not receive her medication. The main issue is, every single person I’ve spoken to at this center, has an ego the size of Texas and won’t treat you with respect if you question them or speak confidently about patient rights and needs. I truly believe we should treat all people with respect and compassion. We should give an Uber or a phone call to someone who needs a safe ride home in the middle of the night - especially if they’re not well, have no phone and no money.

Additionally, I would like to point out that the RN on site said she has my sisters medications but Cassidy Pacheco, the supposed Director of something at this “establishment” said they’re destroyed because it has been two weeks. Funny thing is, now I know she lies (beyond what I can prove with my phone and not receiving ANY calls from her) because it hasn’t been two weeks until tomorrow. So she cannot be trusted.

Why would you lie? Does this place not train their staff? That makes everything you say void.

If you find yourself in crisis and want to change your life, Halcyon is for you! I will be forever grateful for the experience and treatment I had at this wonderful center! You will receive counseling twice a day from trained, caring counselors and groups twice a day. Each are centered around one's personal journey out of their crisis. You can trust Halcyon to care for you in your darkest hour, but your willingness to work through your crisis will determine your overall success. If you are reading this, there is hope! Dig deep and do what is required to change your life for the better and I know you can! Best wishes and success!

Anyone who complained about treatment or food at halcyon center was immensely hard to please. Staff was excellent and compassionate. I never felt, "lesser than", die to staff.

This is not a safe place! Do yourself a solid, the food is outdated and the cap called Counselors are a joke,(uneducated) but I guess that’s not needed! They allow the clients run rampant spitting in the kitchen sink and so forth, and you will never see staff even use the kitchen, but they will feed you from it, this place is just all around disgusting and I can see why mental homelessness is so prevalent in CA, It did not even deserve a star

I really like the way that Haylcyon allows you to work at a pace that works for you. They have helped me out in my time of crisis. I appreciate all the kindness and support I received when I was there. My peers were being helped too and we're were helpful as well. Most of Peers united under one concept we were all aware of is that we all were seeking assistance that would identify our situations regardless one might have been similar or different from the others is that we all were in a crisis of some sort. And, identifying our needs addressed as a community at Halcyon was quite the experience one could gain knowledge from to form better perspective of your issue and utilize resources available through Halcyon as well to allow you a step in right direction. Which along the path of life is where you're made to realize to make better decisions the next time around. I really appreciate Halcyon for being there for me. The AA meetings were insightful as well. Thank you Halcyon for a place of refuge when the world around you collapsed and without much to bare it with. Being a reliable resource to not only fall upon but to regroup and gain much needed ground in lives we live on the daily

Grateful for the warmth and availability of staff 24/7, however they do not always render free will. You are not allowed take your supplements on your own, nor exit for any reason. I didn't quite improve because I couldn't exercise during my stay, the rocksy backyard wore out my the special sneakers for just 35 cycles (10 minutes). I'd like to run an hour each second day. The medications do the rest - to some, psychiatry is very overrated. An aspect is the discrimination that you aren't able to take care of self. It's contradictory to having a therapeutic, helpful, or even vocational stance. Despite routine, you are tapped with four "community meetings" and two conseling sessions that ask repeat information a bit too much. The community meetings particularly are repetitions of followed rules and schedules, the employees act as if these are of huge importance and it becomes a drama play.
Yet I particularly commend staff worker Trinity who works at a high maturity in counseling concepts and composure. The way certain staff members respect individuals is lightening.
