Golden State Athletic Club has been an absolute game changer for my entire family! My 9-year-old son has been training here for nearly 2.5 years, and his confidence and discipline have grown tremendously. My 16-year-old daughter not only trains here but also helps teach the kids class, giving her valuable leadership experience as she prepares for college. Even my youngest, who is 4, has been thriving in the Little Ninja class for the past few months.

I’ve personally been training here for 2years, and the results have been incredible. I’ve lost 30lbs and feel stronger and healthier than ever. Beyond the physical benefits, the mental growth and focus this gym instills in both kids and adults are invaluable. My middle son, in particular, has greatly improved his focus thanks to the structured and engaging training.

The coaches are phenomenal they are dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft. They create a welcoming, supportive, and motivating environment for people of all ages and skill levels. The sense of community here is unmatched. The gym is second family to my family. This gym is truly top-notch! Travis and David are awesome people, that care about the success and progression of their students. Travis is an incredible kickboxer and teacher who excels at breaking down fundamentals, ensuring everyone builds a solid foundation to build from. David runs a fantastic kids' class that’s both enjoyable and effective, creating a fun environment for young learners. The overall atmosphere is fun, supportive and motivating, making it a perfect place to train. Can’t recommend enough!

I've been boxing for several years, and this is one of the best places I've trained at. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the kickboxing coaching is excellent, spanning two levels. Beginners can enjoy fun and engaging classes, while those with experience can participate in occasional, gentle sparring in the advanced sessions.

My son started when he was 5 years old at this gym. He is now 6 and is loving the older kids class. David is a great coach, his ability to show the children fairness, discipline, encouragement, and technique is really amazing to observe. I was so impressed with the structure of this gym that I now take classes with Travis, whenever I have the time after work. Its really amazing being apart of a gym that is so family friendly. Everyone is so welcoming. These guys are top Notch, No better gym in Marin.

My two boys (4 and 6yo) were hooked on day 1 and have been coming Little Ninjas class for three weeks so far. David is a kind, knowledgeable, and encouraging coach who comes to class each day with new fun ways to teach and train on a wide variety of skills. The kids get lots of exercise and individualized instruction which keeps us coming back.

I trained with David Schimmel for a decade, earning our 1st and 2nd degree blackbelts together, and I am excited for anyone that comes through his door; they're in good hands. He has a great knowledge and understanding of martial arts and is phenomenal at making sure his students get both.
