The Livermore EAA chapter 663 is a wonderful group of really knowledgeable and helpful people. During the Young Eagles Day events (usually on a Saturday once a months from March until October), kids between 8 and 18 can get a free flight in the aircraft of a chapter member. After the flight one gets additional information and the chance to become more involved in aviation and the EAA chapter, and learn about the many career opportunities in aviation. It's really fun, and for me that was an important part of my way into aviation. Oh, did I mention that they build and fly amazing airplanes? The next chapter build project is a Cri-Cri, the world's smallest multi-engine airplane 🙂

EAA 663 has one of the highest concentrations for amateur built aircraft in the world! Several of the beautiful creations have won international awards for excellence (Lindies) at Oshkosh. Young people can get free rides in some of these aircraft from volunteer pilots on "Young Eagles" events held often at the Livermore Airport.

If you like airplanes, being around airplanes and people who like airplanes, building airplanes, working on airplanes...basically, anything to do with airplanes, then this Chapter - EAA 663 - is the place to be.
There are all kinds of aviation activities to be involved in and you really don't need to be a pilot to be in this organization. All you need is curiosity and imagination and you will have amazing experiences.
