Reviews of Doggie Do Good

My dog was exhibiting behavior issues that reached a point where I desperately needed professional help. After searching online, I stumbled upon DoggieDoGood. Despite the long drive from my home in LA, I decided to give it a try. The facility and environment were appealing, and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made.
DoggieDoGood provides an attentive and thorough training program that ensures your dog learns the basics of obedience. This fundamental knowledge allows for effective communication and trust-building, which is crucial for taking your dog out without any disruptions.
I highly recommend DoggieDoGood. The staff and facility are exceptional, and they met every request on my “training wishlist.” My dog has transformed into an absolute gentleman, and I’m grateful for the positive impact DoggieDoGood has had on our lives.
I took him back for two weeks of boarding and the little guy was soooo excited to be back since I picked him up from bootcamp!!!!

I was fooled by the bandanas and never told till the last day when I went to pick up my young dog. I was so furious and confused, they took my money, not cheap, over $3500 to train my dog with a shock collar….something that I could have done at home for a couple hundred dollars. My dog had no other behavioral training without the collar, all the dogs that were picked up that day together had shock collars. I had already seen in Petco months before the “Stop the Shock” of all e-collars/shock collars and knew I didn’t want to go down that route, and I realized then that they were very vague with how they would train my dog, and I just trusted them to know about this newer form of positive reinforcement for behavior training. So on the day I pick up my dog after 3.5 weeks, they “trained” us how to shock our dogs and we then had to purchase the shock collars, they weren’t even included!! I felt lied to, no where in the contract did they say they would be using this shock device to “train” my dog. I bought the shock collar and cried all the way home, feeling like the WORST dog mom to have put my girl through that. I used the shock collar for about a day but I found a place through my vet, Gentle Touch Pet Training in SLO. After calling them and explaining the situation, that I had just taken my dog to doggie do good camp and that they used shock collars and now my dog is afraid of people and reacts aggressively. The lady was so kind as I cried my eyes out telling her how horrible I felt leaving my young dog there for over 3 weeks! The women at Gentle Touch Pet Training assured me that I was not the first to fall to the doggie do good shock collar scam by hiding them under the dogs bandanna so the owner wont see it in the update pictures they send you. I was told to throw the collar away right, now, and she singed my dog up for their “Feisty Fidos Class: Small group classes for dogs with aggressive behaviors“.
My dog has greatly improved and continues to improve her reactive behaviors which became exacerbated after her experience at doggie do good camp…they did my dog and me wrong! I feel cheated out of over $3500…but even more sick knowing it went to pay people to shock and hurt my sweet little pup. There is a lot of scientific evidence in the harm a shock collar ultimately inflicts onto the dog. Do a little research if shock collars do more harm than good!!! I hope someone sees this post before they decide to sign their dog over to this awful company who doesn’t want to use better alternatives, like positive reinforcement training, because that takes more work and training! Anyone can push a button and shock their dog when they miss behave, but can they understand their dog and what is actually happening behind the behaviors you don’t want? I highly recommend Gentle Touch pet training, they are so wonderful!

Doggie do good is so amazing! We sent our Ranger to the 21 day camp and he came back a different dog( in all the best ways) . He learned everything we asked for on our wishlist. The staff is all very supportive and knowledgeable. We definitely will be coming back for boarding and review!

Doggie Do Good is amazing! They have transformed our puppy into a puppy that listens. They have been great training for us and our puppy so that we are able to communicate with him. Thank you, Doggie Do Good!

It is virtually impossible to write a review for Doggie Do Good because one cannot adequately put into words how incredible everything about the organization, the staff, the facilities, the training, the results, the follow-ups, the family, and the results is. From start to finish and beyond, the word we found ourselves saying about every detail of Doggie Do Good was (and still is) WOW!
Entrusting your dog (whether he/she is a puppy, fully grown, or anywhere in between) to other people can be one of the biggest leaps of faith you could take as parents, but Doggie Do Good made us feel so comfortable and confident about the entire process before we even left to head to their wonderful HQ in Arroyo Grande that we were beaming with excitement about the experience each of our two puppies were set to enjoy.
When we arrived, the intake process was not only as professional as one could imagine, but it was so loving and joyful that we knew from the get go that our pups were going to be surrounded by immeasurable adoration and attention the entire time they were away from us. Every single one of the staff members we interacted with were superb, and second to none.
It almost feels like a disservice to focus on one staff member more than the others (because they are all that amazing), but we must give a very special shoutout to our pups’ main trainer - Isaac. It would take a million years to say or write all of the phenomenal things we could say about Isaac. Not only is he the greatest trainer that anyone could ever dream up (if you tried to construct the perfect dog trainer in your mind), but he is a stellar human with the attitude, discipline, organization, follow-through, and drive to be able to succeed at the highest levels in anything in life. We can all be grateful (especially our dogs) that he decided to put his talents toward training animals.
The training that our pups received over the weeks that they were with Isaac and the Doggie Do Good team was nothing short of transformative. When we dropped them up, they were rescue puppies who had been through quite a long and difficult journey on their way to being our fur children and were untrained and anxious (particularly with respect to being separated from us). They emerged from Doggie Do Good with more confidence than we have ever seen in most adult dogs, completely obedient of the practical and easily-enforceable commands that they had been taught, and with beautiful personalities that were endemic of the amount of love they had received every day since we dropped them off.
After you receive your dogs post-training (at their facility or at your home via their amazing drop-off service), you may expect that your training experience/relationship with a service like this would end. We are thrilled to report that that is not the case with Doggie Do Good. It’s quite the opposite. When your pups finish “camp”, you all become part of the DDG extended family, and the staff and trainers (like Isaac for us) continue to check in with you regularly to see how your dogs are adapting and progressing. Again, you can clearly tell how much love exists with Doggie Do Good because the staff genuinely misses being around your pup(s) after they return them to you.
We could not recommend Doggie Do Good more highly, no matter what your dog’s needs might be, and we genuinely cannot wait to have our pups spend more time there (yet another one of their endless perks) if/when we ever need to take an international trip or if a necessity or opportunity arises.

We picked up our dog today that had been at Doggie Do Good for the last 4 weeks. The transfer process was about 5 hour because they took the time to train the whole family and transition us into being the trainers.
Santiago did a great job of explaining not only how to work our dog but "why" each step of the way.
We are very happy with the outcome at this point and look forward to continued improvement as we utilize the skills we learned.
Thank you for making our stubborn Cane Corso more a part of our family.

The number one reason I sent my dog to Doggie Do Good was his nonstop barking. We still had trouble with the barking when I got home. I contacted Doggie Do Good and they were very responsive. Isaac gave me a private lesson to address the barking. I’m very pleased with their commitment to helping us resolve the issue.

I’ve had three different dogs go through DDGs program. Each dog had very different personalities. One super smart ADHD Aussie who was easily stimulated and had a hard time focusing with distractions, one very sweet but strong and dog dominant Labrador, and an eager to please Golden Retriever. DDG did a fabulous job with training them by finding what they were motivated by and their personality. My Golden needed very little correction and was highly motivated by being petted and given praise. My Lab and Aussie had different incentives and needs. DDG was able to work with all three of them based on their individual needs and motivation. Trainers worked with both dogs and individual family members. They made sure we were handling the dogs correctly. This included helping my children use the correct commands and not letting the dogs dominate them. We have been in contact with DDG throughout the lifetime of my dogs and the company has been nothing but helpful. They care very much for all animals.
