In 2 months time, our four year-old boy went from barely being able to keep his head above water and panicking when any little drops of water went in his eyes, to jumping into the pool, swimming into the deep end, coming back up for a gasp of air, going back in to go get sunken toys, and feeling confident in the water.
I'm really glad we went to Callan Swim School, he had fun while learning.

We love Callan Swim School, the owner is thoughtful and kind. He still gets in the pool with a group of kids to teach them how to swim. Our teacher Ms. Brianna is amazing with both my kids. My daughter started here at 6 months, she'll be 4 in a week and she can dive to the bottom of the pool, use her freestyle stroke with ease, and is working toward the back stroke. My son is nearly 2, and he could swim before he could walk. I'm a huge fan of the office as well! They are reasonable and kind - they work with us to make schedules that work for us and for their business. I'm a huge fan!

We enrolled our son into swim classes at 4 months old in March of this year. It’s been the highlight of our weekly routine these past 10 months. My son absolutely LOVES swim class. A safe, clean and friendly facility was important to us. Each instructor class is capped at 3 students per lesson, which is perfect. When looking into other swim facilities/instructor classes – we found that many facilities ‘teach’ in larger groups. That didn’t appeal to us, as we were starting our son at such a young age that we wanted to assure he had the necessary supervision and instruction. We have been so fortunate to have Martina as our sons’ instructor. She’s incredible - gentle, patient, educated and very professional. We look forward to continuing at Murray Callan for many years to come.

We have been taking our son here for the past few weeks and he is 3 months old. We were really happy to find this place because many places do not offer classes until the baby is 6 months old. It was great for us because we are on a leave of absence from work and this gave us an opportunity to bond with our son and also get him started swimming ASAP, We are thrilled and he has enjoyed it so much.

The instructors are great. We have Erin and she is so nice and experienced with babies. She gives us confidence by the great care she takes in teaching him and the others how to swim.

Ever since he started taking the classes, he just absolutely loves the water. Bath time is now so much fun because he smiles and kicks the whole time!

This is located in a great location in PB and it is very family friendly. I recommend it to anyone with kids and especially little babies. Many of the parents that take their kids there have asked how old our son is and constantly say that they wish that they started sooner because the kids love the classes and the sooner you can get them comfortable with the water the better.

I am really impressed with Murray Callan. My daughter (15 months) has been taking lessons there for about a month, and I have seen a lot of progress in a short amount of time. I am particularly impressed with the quality of instructors. They are very firm with the children, but kind and gentle at the same time. They don't accept any nonsense! This sets a behavioral precedent for all the swimmers, enabling them to learn very quickly. While the 2-day a week policy seemed excessive at first, I see now why they require it-- my daughter was swimming under the water by the second week, and now knows the routine very well. Particularly for the really little ones, I think that 2 lessons per week makes a lot of sense.

We've been a Murray Callan attending family for almost 7 years. Both my boys have gone continuously because they love everything about MC! The instructors are amazing - gentle, patient, fun and understanding. The office staff is beyond wonderful (friendly, helpful and communicative) and the pool is top-notch clean, warm, and fun. My boys are usually the stand-out kids at a public facility because of their confidence, skills and comfort in the water at such young ages. I would recommend any family to join this amazing place!!

I was not impressed with Callan swim school. My daughter went for 5 sessions and had 4 different instructors in that time frame. Every time we switched instructors it was like we were going backwards on learning how to swim. Plus because she is so young they need to re-establish trust.
They called us 3 different times letting us know that the instructor wasn’t going to be there 2 of the times we were either on our way or had just shown up to the school. My daughter is 3 years old so she didn’t understand why we weren’t going to stay at swim. She cried the whole way home. Then they just wanted us to come a different time.
I would not recommend them to any friends or family. There was too much frustration for me.

We've been sending our 4 year old daughter to Callan Swim School since she was about 18 months old. She started off extremely apprehensive swimming in the pool, but here grandparents and great grandparents both have pools and refuse to have safety gates around them.

Now our daughter enjoys swimming and coming to "Swim" is a treat that she looks forward to. The turning point for her was attending one her friends birthday party at Callan Swim School, now she loves it.

She has also had the opportunity to swim almost all the instructors there and we've always been happy with them.

Now our 2 year old son has also started swim lessons and loves it as well.

We plan on keeping our kids in swim lessons at Callan Swim School for the foreseeable future. I would recommend this school to any parent interested in getting their children swim lessons.
