Talked with Shawn. Worst experience. Very rude. He gave me an anxiety attack. He said he would contact me for an appointment. Made me wait 2weeks and when ask to when was the earliest appointment i was told why the rush. I Have not had my psych meds since I’ve been released from the hospital. I asked to speak with the supervisor and he kept making excuses. “The manager doesn’t live In the USA/ I have my supervisor here but she’s not in today”

This place was recommended by other Physicians and Insurance personnel. I took the time to get a referral and go through the whole process of filling out their questionnaire for my relative. This place told me they don’t see any patients that need court ordered therapy. They tried to tell me that writing a letter or sending paperwork is time consuming and takes away from other patients. Having worked in treatment places that also did Treatment Plans and therapy sessions.I know that it isn’t difficult to do this which makes me wonder about the quality of care they provide. This place turned away my family member simply because their therapy is court ordered. Don’t waste your time if you’ll need anything like this!

This place blew my 7 year old daughter off completely. I called them desperate to get her into therapy. She was suffering from severe anxiety and depression and saying things no 7 year old ever should be saying. It was heartbreaking. Her dad was out of the picture, I couldn’t even get in touch with him because of certain circumstances, and they refused to take her as a patient without his consent. No other place requires this of their patients, but they came recommended and took her insurance so I wanted them. So I went to therapy myself, paying nearly $100 each week to learn ways I could help her since she couldn’t go. I went to therapy on her behalf since they wouldn’t see her. Then once he was able to sign, I immediately signed her up and filled out the questionnaire and was told they’d call me. They didn’t. So I called and they said they’d look into it and call me. They never did! Can’t imagine why we have such a problem with behavioral health services in this country, can’t imagine why we have such a problem with mental health 🙄 maybe if facilities actually cared about people and cared about helping children especially this wouldn’t be such a problem!

I called to confirm that the independent therapist that work here took my insurance. This was 4 years ago, the front desk assured me they did. I was put on wait list. About two years ago, I called to follow up, the front desk was surprised that I had not been called yet. They told me I was updated on the waitlist and to make sure to inform them if I chose another therapist, so they could remove me from the wait list. Four years later I still have not been called and I am sure I not on their "waitlist." I can only guess that no one wants to work me because my insurance does not pay well. They should have been transparent about that and have not given me hope.

My experience at Beachside has been a great one! I love My therapist. All other therapists are super nice and welcoming. This place makes me feel safe and comforting just like home. I recommend Beachside Center to all looking for a place where it is welcoming and helpful with any therapy services you might need. Do to being so busy and good at what they do. There is a waiting list. Don’t give up! Persistence will get you to the right therapist and they will help you choose your amazing therapist. If one does not fit seek another therapist. I've been consistently impressed by Dr. Kerry O'Reilly and the rest of the staff at Beachside in Ventura. Dr. O'Reilly is an excellent therapist with considerable experience and expertise. She is a wealth of knowledge about psychotherapeutic practice and psychoanalysis. I'd recommend her to anyone seeking to more fully understand themselves and live a richer, more authentic life.

Beachside has been excellent. I've felt completely comfortable with this place and it's definitely welcoming. All my calls were returned promptly by the front desk & I haven't had any billing issues. 👍
