When I met Mr. Trung Le, founder and head counselor of Bay Area College Consulting, it was the summer before my sophomore year of high school, and my parents and I were looking for a college counselor. During our initial meeting, he gave us a rundown of how the college landscape was looking at the moment as well as my odds of getting into my dream schools. We really liked his transparency and honesty which led to our decision to work with him over the other counselors we had met. After understanding my intended area of study and college of choice, Mr. Le guided me through majority of my high school career to achieve my goals. He pointed me in the direction of ventures that aligned with my major of choice while ensuring I would be able to balance it out with my academics. If I ever fell behind on an action item, he was always there to help get me back on track. Ultimately, I was able to take part in a citywide initiative, a defining moment in my high school experience, which I definitely could not have done without his guidance.

With his support, I was able to curate a refined resume and shortlist universities to apply to based on a set of criteria. He also provided plenty of resources when it came to prepping for SAT and AP tests, selecting high school courses, and exploring external projects.

During the college application season, he worked closely with me to brainstorm essay prompts and provide quality feedback in a timely manner. He was always easily accessible when it came to answering questions, and gave valuable insight based on his years of experience. His hands-on approach and amiable demeanor ensured that the process was as smooth as possible. In the end, I ultimately was accepted into UC Berkeley, UCLA, Texas-Austin and other top universities. I would highly recommend working with him as he is an expert in this field.
