All these beautiful and natural colors decorate the whole world and spread the greatness of the natural power. I wanna kiss this incredible land.
Why just 4 stars? Because I hate driving! It was a little far. But I loved it! Really loved it—-NATURE!
Fresh air, and away from human!!!!!!

I’ve stayed at the Equestrian dry camp. Bring your own horses. The trails on my horses into the copper canyons are something to witness. We traveled safely through the caves and canyons sharing the trails with our considerate Jeep and ATV vehicular company.

The town of Calico is so much fun, shops, Barbour shop, candy shop, venues and reenactment cowboys and gunfighters are super fun. A lot of exhibitions are closed but the saloon and chapel are very cool. Take the train into the mines.!!

This is an actual gold mining ghost town from the old west. The population of the town varies. I lived there. They still mine it to this day. They make a cotton fabric there that is calico in color.from the old south. There are salons and show girls and a sherriff.

This place was great, not very crowded and the food was great and reasonably priced. Our waitress was so good and all the other employees throughout the
place were so friendly and they asked if I was a Veteran and gave me a discount. I will definitely be going back! We didn't stay at the hotel or campgrounds but we will.

We really enjoyed our visit to Calico in the cabins for 4 peoples. It is simple, rustic, comfortable and safe. The shower and toilets were clean and well located. The next morning we enjoyed the small village of Calico ghost village. I thought I would learn a little more about the life and habits of the miners and their families of the time. It is more focused on the souvenir shops than on the history of the mine and the village as such. On the other hand, the 3 small activities are fun to do with the family ($ 12 per person for the 3 activities) and the landscapes are magnificent 🙂

Truly unique location to camp. ⛺️ Staying there while getting the sense of historical background of the location is something else.

I'm not sure how this campground gets such a high rating. They charge $90 per night, but it feels like a $30 per night kind of place. The RV sites are very small and cramped together. Electric is only 30amp, which is an issue for larger RVs in the heat. Many people run a generator during the day so they can have 2 ACs going. The hookups are very old, and the sites are very rocky. On the plus side, the bathrooms are pretty nice and kept clean. Staying at the campground gives you free access to the ghost town, which isn't too far of a walk. Of note, this campground seems to attract a lot of people who lack basic campground etiquette. Trash was thrown on the ground, or in the instance of our neighbor, placed in OUR firepit!!! Guess it was too long a walk for him to the dumpster? Quiet hours are not followed or enforced. Children and teens will run around and yell well after midnight. Wouldn't recommend staying here unless you really like being close to the ghost town.

Additional note: this campground does not offer wifi, and since you're in a canyon surrounded by hills, cell service is poor.

So awesome, we went when it was empty because of the summer heat. The staff were happy for us to spread out to find some shade under some trees (we don't have a camper van). The bathrooms were some of the best we have had on the roadtrip, nice showers.
