Worst experience of my life. They promise you help but once you get there the staff is rude & belittling. They give you a few facility options but when you contact them they are all full. Then they discharge you with no warning & no place to go after no help or growth. They are all about collecting your insurance money but offer no actual support. If you truly need help any other CRTP is a better option.

Got discharged after three days dislocated my knee and had a seizure and some staff were helpful and kind but some were some of the meanest inconsiderate "humans" with absolutely no patience. I really hope that they get new kind more patient staff. very very disappointed.

Struggling with Mental Health or Substance Abuse issues along with fears of a virus can make the goal of overcoming seemingly impossible. I was fortunate enough to have an option at Excelsior House to build my new life.

The staff faces many challenges between shift changes, varying degrees of hostility, and constant changes with health care policy ESPECIALLY NOW. But they provide a safe and very well managed program where I was able to focus on recovering and healing many deep and long standing issues in my life.

The Group Sessions were very well managed and I enjoyed the plentiful resources given to those who needed additional services, such as housing, or employment, or medical services.

The Staff and Administration was wonderful, I really miss some of them. Certainly there were challenges but every day we were fed, kept safe, given medications.

The rooms are shared by two people and they're required to be kept clean with daily chores. The rehabilitation through structured chores pairs patients up together in teams of 2 or 3 people and each day they rotate.

I certainly enjoyed cooking and found that to be my favorite.

When it came to confronting personal issues, each day we were having 2 group sessions, and at least an hour and a half to research and examine what our "new lives" would be like.

There would seem to be a lot of repetition but that is necessary. I felt safe and comfortable even with challenges I had with certain staff members as they were very infrequent and mostly resolved.

I'm on day 35 of my new life and I couldn't have done it without being there. I miss everyone, I miss the once a day walks the staff would supervise, and working together to play games in the evening.

They have 2 computers and a very nice living room to use, I would on occasion join to watch movies lol! the restrictions on moving around and going out were very challenging for me, but they were necessary.

In all I have a very favorable scenario and I'll miss Courtney, Matt, Vanessa, Toya, Trebin, Shelly, and Arianna and although I may have forgotten names, there are a couple of special ladies that provided transportation for me to handle personal things that required supervision and I hope they know they're missed too!

I came from UCLA before I was admitted in Inglewood. My stay there was short because I quickly found housing and when I was threatened by a man named Matt, I decided to leave early so I let him kick me out, as I already had only a few days before I was going to get into the new place that I found. Matt told me to go upstairs and get all my things together because I was being discharged..he would not let me open my bag of medication until I got outside of the gate and made me sign all the papers saying that I knew what I was getting in return.once I got outside of the gate I realized he had stole or should I say I was missing almost a month supply of my pain meds. These meds are a controlled substance so I cannot just get them replaced. I stood outsidetrying to get them to answer the door so I could find out where the rest of my meds were. He conveniently would not answer the door. I tried calling and he also would not answer the phone. I have no choice but you call The Police.once the police got there only he was allowed to go inside and when he came out they Matt had given him some story so I never got my meds back on Monday. Today is Sundayand I am planning to call back tomorrow with no hopes that my meds will be there I believe that he stole the meds because I really believe that he withheld those meds so that he could keep them or else why would he have not given them to me with all the rest of my meds? Well, tomorrow is Monday and I will be calling not only that I am calling UCLA to report this place as a fraudulent operation if I do not get my meds back that were missing. I will press charges and do whatever I can to make sure that they do not do this to somebody else let alone me.. Also, he was trying to find out the address of where I was going but I could tell I didn't want to give him this information for the whatever reason I don't know and this was before I found out that he kept my meds. I just had this feeling or intuition that I should not tell him anything. tomorrow if I find out that my meds are not there I will prosecute to the fullest extent.

forget this place .. if your in need of crisis residential go to Jump Street in LA.. this place staff just are worried about their money they yell at you all day they don't try to work with you they just treat you like your crazy. only a couple good people here I have to say but only a couple .. like I said you'd rather go to Jump Street.
