Let me start by saying Adrian was very polite. When it comes to communication that’s a different story. I agreed to the boarding/training package. He took my puppy with him and at the end of the two months I requested he bring my puppy back because we wanted to do out family holiday pictures and we wanted him to be in the picture with us. Before that I would call and text and found it difficult to get a prompt response. When we finally got in touch with him & he brought the puppy to us he said that he wanted another 2 weeks with him for training and at first I agreed. But after having our puppy home for a week we noticed no change in his behavior at all. After discussing this with my family we decided not to send him back. So I text Adrian our concerns and let him know what we decided. He never responded or even brought back his slow feeder or the rest of his food. We paid over 2000 dollars and at this point I feel like we were taken advantage of. I would not recommend his services to anyone.

Hero Dog Training was one of the best things that ever happened to me! My red nose Pitt Bull Chilee was out of control. She had never been socialized with other dogs, did not like other large dogs and was very aggressive. I was afraid to take her off the lease when walking her. Adrian is the the true dog whisperer!!! She follows commands and even plays friendly with other dogs and actually walks without her lease. I highly recommend Hero Dog Training. Thank you Adrian ...you are the best.

I never expected my dog to behave well in public, much less off-leash, until we trained with Adrian. More importantly, she's much happier & confident. So if you think training your dog is hopeless, call Adrian. (Ideally, call him before you have a problem though.)

Some background on my dog: She is a 1.5 year old Formosan Mountain Dog. FMDs are a primitive dog breed which means she's independent (read: stubborn), skittish, & territorial. She's also now a teenager so that's karma for ya. Basically, I unwittingly chose hard mode for dog ownership (I thought I adopted a Lab mix).

Prior to Adrian, my dog & I worked with two trainers. They were helpful, but we still couldn't walk around the block free of incidents, corrections, & anxiety. We're talking growling, lunging, & snapping at other dogs. After six lessons with Adrian, she no longer displays aggressive behaviors. She stays by my side & is unbothered if another dog barks in her face. Now we're working on her off-leash behavior in unfenced areas with lots of dogs & other distractions. This is not something I thought was possible.

What I appreciate about Adrian is how he accommodates our needs while challenging us & breaking down training techniques so we can practice at home. It's important to me that my dog forms a positive association with her trainer. This training is intense & she is wary of people who demand stuff of her. He took the time to form a connection with her before diving into it making her much more receptive to training. He also knew that I was freaked out about taking her off-leash, but his confidence in my dog & the way he eased into lessening her restrictions showed I could trust her more. When I have enough space for a second dog, it will train with Adrian immediately.
