Title: A Respectable Fitness Experience at Life Fitness in Crescent City

Review:

During my brief visit to Crescent City, I had the pleasure of checking out Life Fitness for a day. Right from the outset, I was greeted warmly by the host, who efficiently processed a nominal $10 fee for day use. As someone passionate about maintaining my fitness regime, even on the move, I found the gym adequately equipped to cater to my workout needs.

I arrived around 10 a.m. and was pleasantly surprised to find the gym relatively empty, allowing me to seamlessly transition between free weights, barbells, and machines without any wait time. The serene atmosphere truly enhanced the quality of my workout.

The shower facility, while basic, served its purpose. With hot water and two stalls, it catered to post-workout needs. However, the limited locker space suggests it's wise to bring along a personal bag, though the gym's uncrowded nature means it's safe to keep belongings nearby.

While my overall experience was satisfactory, I did notice a few areas for improvement. The initial stale gym air upon entry could benefit from better ventilation. Moreover, adding soap holders within the shower stalls would significantly elevate the user experience.

One broader suggestion would be a more rigorous cleaning regimen, especially in the restroom and gym area. While the equipment, some of which is a bit dated, serves its purpose well, heightened cleanliness could really elevate the overall atmosphere.

In summary, Life Fitness provides a commendable fitness environment. Despite a few areas needing attention, its offerings are quite robust for the immediate area. I wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend it to fellow fitness enthusiasts, especially those looking for a no-fuss, efficient workout session.

Been to a lot of gyms. Crescent City’s options are few, and between this and the other large local gym, we chose this one. It has small but clean and modern locker rooms, and modern and clean exercise machines. The cross-fit room is large and well-equipped. It also has a large room for classes. It has ample cardio machines, but the focus is on strength training and weight machines. It does have a good supply of free weights. The sauna and ice bath are appointment only, only open for business hours, and are not an additional insignificant cost. It’s nice that the rest of the facilities are open and accessible 24hrs. There’s room for improvement, but it’s Crescent City’s best option at the moment for conventional gym needs.

While on vacation for a family friend’s wedding, I needed a workout boost so I was in search of a decent gym that not only takes day passes but can also give me a good workout! Crescent city has 2 maybe 3 gyms in the vicinity. Life fitness offers day passes for $10 and are open 24 hours. They have sufficient cardio and weight equipment for all. They do have office hours and you would need to visit when someone is available to check you in. The machines are a bit outdated but they work and that’s all that mattered!
Missing a star because the faucet is way too big for the small bathroom sink causing water to spill all over the floor which is hazardous and can cause a slip and fall.

The new owner is killing it . Everything seems like it's getting a deep clean -- walls, fans, restrooms, equipment, ceiling tiles. Replaced mirrors, machine cards, mats, attachments. Slowly but surely making it the nicest gym in Crescent City. If you wrote this place off a while ago -- come back! No more mold smell, great music, plenty of equipment. I'm very happy and I'm a bougie beetch with high expectations ?

I never leave a bad review about a business, but here we go
I was treated very unprofessional by the manager, even laughed at with one of the members that I have an issue with, yes, he demanded that he watch his sport on 2 tvs, I can not change the channel on one tv when I did cardio, because he have the privilege to do that because he is working out in this gym for 10 years, coming up to my face to rip of the remote out of my hand ,
I never said anything about this gym , because I mind my own business, but this gym is dirty, paper towels are running out to wipe down the equipment. Equipment that are not working properly, it was always freezing cold in the winter and I noticed rodents are running around. People hogging up 2 machines to workout at the same time, giving me a stink eye when I chimed in., or do cardio on a succumb bike for over an hour. Bathroom , lack of soap and no water coming out of the spout, and if it works you got splashed all over. Management is doing nothing to take care of the problem

Recently updated the material/padding on machines, thank you!!
I enjoy the space of this gym. Equipment is not on top of each other and feel like I can have my own personal bubble working out (except around 5-7 pm due to being very busy). Have a variety of equipment to use and they aren't too old.
My only suggestion would be to add a suggestion box or something for feedback ideas. Oh, and can they please fix the outside lights? They flicker like strobe lights and have been like that for years. No idea why they haven't tried to fix that yet.

My boyfriend and i were on vacation and needed a place to get a workout in. This place was amazing! Equipment was older but it was clean and organized. It had everything we needed and more. Very spacious and staff was so sweet! 10/10!

Equipment and equipment placement is on point, 2 stars because the building itself is in need of renovation, tons of black mold on ceiling, dirty walls with spiderweb and exposed insulation, no air conditioning or airflow so it gets very stuffy. For the money you pay which 40 dollars it needs a very good clean up
