We were just in town for a big family wedding. We stayed in one of the bungalows and loved it! It was truly a little home away from home. We chose to have breakfast delivered each morning. They drop off adorable baskets filled with yummy food, juice, coffee. It was perfect! Their happy hour of wine, charcuterie and live music was a great perk as well. The staff is lovely and we will definitely be returning.

Our favorite place to stay whenever we visit the Santa Ynez Valley. Accommodations are very comfortable and very well appointed. Staff is friendly and does an excellent job taking care of our every need. Much better choice for couples than a short-term rental (e.g., Airbnb or vrbo) and very reasonably priced. Close to great restaurants, wineries and other local attractions (Solvang, Chumash Casino, Cachuma Lake, etc.). And we always meet and make friends with other couples staying at the inn. If you're there on the weekend, you might even get a special guitar performance from the owner (Dave), who enjoys entertaining his guest at their happy hour. Great fun.

And yet again another great stay at For Friends Inn. We have been guests (feels like great friends) of the inn for several years and we come back to visit Dave, Katie, Spencer, Carolyn, and Vanessa at least twice a year. There has not been a more welcoming and RELAXING experience that we have ever had in our various travels than For Friends Inn. You are welcomed when entering the warm reception area, you are greeted with kindness and hospitality when checking in. The rooms ( we’ve stayed in several of them) as well as the bungalow's each have their own nuances and we’ve enjoyed each one. From the very fun daily Happy Hour especially fun when Dave is there to sing, to the amazing breakfasts from Sandra and Vanessa ( who are so kind), and the enjoyment of wine country with excellent food choices within walking distance. The review is long but there is so much to say about enjoying a non-corporate hotel chain who appreciates their patrons. For Friends Inn creates such a special experience for each of their guests and is welcoming to all. I highly recommend you stay. Once you do you will be back.

We stayed at For Friends 3 nights in January while on our central CA wine anniversary. Such a cute little property with great and friendly staff. You get a filling breakfast each morning and they have a little happy hour each day, with a few local wines and cheese/charcuterie snacks. Another great perk is the “For Friends Pass” which gets you a lot of 2 for 1 tasting deals at a large number of tasting rooms in the Santa Ynez area. We got a special treat in being upgraded to one of the cabins which are super nice! Highly recommend a stay here for a special little getaway.

Honestly…this was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! Dave (owner of For Friends) is an amazing person! My company did a full buy out of the Inn, and we had a blast! Each room is unique, spotless, accommodating, cozy and comfortable! Would give them 10 stars if I could! What a great location as well. Walking distance to great restaurants and the local bar ( The Maverick) which was super fun! Simply, a cute little town. Would absolutely come back - thanks again, Dave for everything you and your staff did for our group! I feel grateful to have had this experience.

We just returned from yet another amazing stay at For Friends Inn. We stay at the inn at least twice a year. Our annual after the holidays stay is a tradition that we love especially after the craziness of the season.
From the amazing homemade breakfasts, the cozy rooms, the very fun and ( never to be missed) Happy Hour, the inn has become a part of our travel repertoire. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and I’ve now recruited my friends to join us at the inn and they too love it. The wine, the local restaurants, the Santa Ynez valley, the after dinner port and goodies along with the warmness and relaxation of the inn is why we keep coming back. Thank you Dave, Katie, Spencer, Carolyn and Vanessa and Sandra for making us feel at home!

We had another wonderful stay at ForFriends! The staff was as welcoming and attentive as ever, making us feel right at home again. The cozy, spotless rooms and delicious homemade breakfast were just as perfect as we remembered. We love Dave with his talented musical skills, entertaining us while we sipped on local wine & snacks and mingled with other guests.
This place truly gets everything right, and I can’t wait to come back again!

First time for us at this wonderful Inn. We stay in Solvang every December, but we do make quick trips up there during the year. This time we decided to try a new area/hotel. The owners didn't disappoint. David & Carolyn made us feel right at home. We had a nice cottage, enjoyed their warm hospitality during the daily happy hour/charcuterie, and took advantage of their proximity to one of our main destinations (Roblar Winery).
We look forward to staying their in the future, and I'll be looking forward to talking with David about guitars and guitar gear (he is the nightly entertainment). Highly recommended!!!
