Karl does a great job as a coach for my nephew. He is extremely motivational and patient and being a player himself, he teaches from a stronger point of understanding. Fantastic coaching staff! Karl works great with the kids & also pushes the intensity on them just enough. My nephew has made several great new friends within the club & actually looks forward to going to practice, & games. "Water polo is a hundred million times better than swim team!" he said.

Santa Monica Water Polo Club is the premier water polo club on the Westside. Karl Niehaus, who runs the club, played locally for Pepperdine, and has assembled a team of world class coaches that actually get in the water to teach and work with the kids. Not only is the club fun, but it is highly competitive.

I visited the club frequently whilst on holiday from South Africa. Karl is an amazingly talented and friendly coach, he really knows the sport!!!! The conditioning and intensity is just right for my experience level and whenever I visit the west coast I will definitely return!!! Keep it up!!!!!
