We love Legacy! Our daughter started with the clinics when she was in second grade and fell in love with the sport. Our family loves the positive energy and the experienced coaches at Legacy. We ventured to another local league for additional experience but it did not compare to the caliber Legacy has to offer. Because of the family who owns the club’s wealth of knowledge and experience, we wouldn’t send our daughter anywhere else!

My son and daughter both played at legacy from third grade, up until their senior year in high school - just graduated from high school and we had nothing but wonderful experiences! We made long lasting friendships and my kids lived to play club and clinics. The teams they played on became like family. The coaching staff promoted integrity, good sportsmanship and a genuine love for the game. They cultivate such a fun, yet educational environment at Legacy. We have the best memories and miss it already!

Let’s start with the owner Walt. If you are there for him, he is not there for your daughter, just your money. They take as many girls as they can to fill the blue and black teams to make money. The best coaches have left to other programs. There is absolutely no coaching of value to grow your daughter’s ambition. Our coach last year made absolutely no in game changes. 6 out and next 6 up for the next set. Worst experience ever. The girls were demoralized and many did not return this year because of this experience. Find a coach that cares, because it matters. If you have an option, this should not be a choice. Good luck to those that stayed as we wish the girls the best. Our coach was not ready to lead. Young and very inexperienced.

Terrible culture for kids, and the club is going downhill fast. They only care about top athletes, and even then some of them are treated poorly. They only stick around because they don’t want to hurt their chances playing at the HS these coaches are at, but you need to ask yourself if a 3 month HS program is worth sticking around for a 7-8 month club season… it’s not.
Also it’s run like a money pit, no real coaching is happening, and there is a total lack of leadership. Just save yourself the bad experience and go somewhere else. Word on the street is they ask “favorites” to come in to add positive reviews on here to help when there are bad ones. Oh. Do yourself one more favor and Google the owner’s name. Like I said, stay away. Not a place for kids.

STAY AWAY. I would never recommend this club to anyone, Walt Ker is only out to make money for himself, he doesn’t care about the athletes, only himself. Please don’t waste your time or money on this club. We wasted two yrs with this club. Leaving was the best decision.

I played at Legacy for 4 years. This club was not only made up of my teammates and coaches, but they were my family. This is a great way to grow not only athletic abilities, but life skills as well. I learned time management, teamwork, leadership, and most importantly, how to overcome adversity. I am now in my first year of coaching at Legacy, and I absolutely love my job. I recommend both boys and girls to get involved with Legacy, whether you decide to do developmental clinics, or join a club team, you will not be disappointed.

It was clear to me that Legacy Volleyball Club prioritizes profits over player development. They seemed eager to form as many teams as possible, without regard for quality coaching or individual player growth. This "quantity over quality" approach left me unimpressed and convinced that their main focus is financial gain. Also I had a terrible time at Legacy Volleyball Club's tryouts. The coaches were dismissive and showed favoritism, making the whole experience feel unfair. The lack of clear instructions and chaotic organization added to the frustration. I wouldn't consider trying out again or recommending it to anyone.

My daughter has been playing at Legacy Volleyball Club for the last 6 seasons. It's her favorite place to be and feels that she is at home when she walks into the gym. She started playing for Kevin Ker when she was 12, and he almost immediately created a plan to get the best out of her. Kevin along with her other coaches at Legacy have taken the time to teach her and understand her on and off the court. They have pushed her to be a better player and always communicated their expectations with her. She has been working with Walt Ker for the last several months but he has been watching her compete for years. Walt is always in the gym and always spends time at the big tournaments watching the different age groups play. He knows every player well and you can see the players step up their game when he is around. I have had kids in other travel teams and clubs and Legacy is as good as it gets.
