Jake is such an awesome teacher! We started having his tutor class since our puppy was 2.5 months old. We wanted to train our puppy as earlier as we could because we live in an apartment and she grows so quickly. We tried many dog trainers to help us, but only Jake came to give us a hand.

He helped us set a clear boundary with our puppy in merely just one hour. It was incredible that how much we learned within one hour tutor class. He not only had a lesson to our puppy, but taught my husband and I how to train our puppy at home. He also checked whether the environment is safe for our puppy. The most important thing is, although Jake seems harsh during the training class, but he also did an incredible job building a great relationship with puppies. Our puppy really respects Jake and loves him which often make me jealous lol

We also took Jake’s group class. He was able to handle over 30 dogs at the same time, and made sure every dog has a good quality time during the class. His group class is super helpful for dogs and owners to improve social skills, and give us a chance to make human and dog friends ❤️

Overall, he’s such a great great teacher !

JAKE is an amazing Dog Trainer
He is intuitive and observant. Jake has the ability to assess both the animal and the owners strengths and needs. He is an active listener, encouraging, respectful, professional, positive, and considerate of our beagle dog, Pudgie, my husband, and myself.
We all get lots of praise, encouragement, and guidance during the training sessions.
We are very happy with Pudgie’s progress. We came to Jake in hopes to help her with her separation anxiety (after losing her dog sister in January) Pudgie was sad, barked, dug at the cement to the quick, traumatized while riding in the car and just didn’t listen to us. We were afraid to leave her alone.
Today, Pudgie has her self confidence back. We are able to leave her alone for at least 4 hours and she isn’t as stressed riding in the car.
Jake has helped us train her to listen to our commands: sit, stay, heel, leave it, crate, safe place, etc.
Pudgie is always happy to see Jake and is always ready to learn more.
We highly recommend Jake to help you and your dog coexist. It’s evident that Jake can help teach your dog anything you want that will meet your specific needs.

My 2 year old dachshund just returned home after 4 weeks boarding training at Jake's facility which had followed 7 individual training sessions at my house. I am very happy with the results !
I came to Jake because my dog, Buddy was extremely aggressive and would try to attack any visitor to my house. Buddy would be behind my security fence and be chewing on the steel bars, barking and trying to jump over. Buddy is totally different now and was sitting right next to a friend visiting my house, taking treats from her and quiet. I was amazed, dachshunds in general are a breed that are difficult to train.
During the individual training sessions at home, Jake has taught me how to lead and control my dog which he emphasizes correctly as being critical to success. He has trained me how to address all the serious behavior issues which Buddy had to include barking and attacking visitors and not staying put in his designated location. In summary I would recommend Jake if you have issues with your dog's behavior, he will train you and your dog together to have a happy life together. It's worth it for the effort and expense --- I expect another about 13 years together with Buddy in our family.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Jake yet because he has been one of the greatest recent gifts to our family. We adopted our third and only larger dog, Enzo, from a local rescue. We initially contacted Jake because we wanted Enz to be a superstar at recall, leash manners, and basic obedience. However, shortly after meeting Jake, Enzo started snapping at our two young daughters. This was terrifying to us, but Jake made time immediately and came right over to work with us in our home over this issue.
Jake possesses a tremendous amount of skill. He also has the softest, kindest heart when it comes to animals and children.
We have worked with older, highly recommended trainers in our town with our other dogs, and they pale in comparison to Jake. He really is THE BEST.
If you want the best trainer who offers the most fun, awesome group classes AND the most informative and truly helpful private training lessons, you can stop searching because have found your guy.

Jake is absolutely worth every penny! He has given me the skills needed to confidently walk and socialize my giant schnauzer, Chief, in my community. He's also helped Chief learn to manage his anxiety and reactivity to other dogs and small, fast-moving children. Chief is learning to be the dog we always knew he could be and I am learning to be a responsible and confident large-dog owner. We have been working with Jake for 4 weeks and we have seen a huge improvement in our dog’s behavior. What also we have seen is our confidence to control his behavior and take the control position has gotten much better which makes us better dog parents. Jake’s approach to teaching is very supportive and helpful and he never makes you feel silly for not knowing or getting it right the first time.
